We check for the following characteristics in an Alphonso Mango :
- Should be naturally ripened in Hay.
- Should feel ‘Solid’. Sometimes this is a better indicator than mere size.
- Kernel Size should be less in proportion to Flesh Size, i.e., the Kernel should be as small as possible.
- Should have a strong aroma.
- The skin should be as thin as possible.
- There should be a dimple at the head.
- Colour should be a pleasant bright yellow.
- The fruit should be warm to touch.
